Special to SEGAZINE
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office has doubled its reward to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in the Sept. 4 death of Emily Drury.
Deputies who were asked to check on Drury’s welfare found her lying dead on the floor of her residence at 3668 McKinnon Road in the White Oak community, the Sheriff’s Office said.
A subsequent investigation found that her death was a homicide.
Drury lived north of Woodbine on a dirt road in a remote area where her nearest neighbor was about four miles away, said Mike McDaniel, special agent in charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Kingsland office.
The GBI and Sheriff’s Office are investigating Drury’s death.
