Special to SEGAZINE
Brooke Molenn, a 10th grader at BCHS, has been chosen to represent her school and the state of Georgia in Washington DC at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders Feb. 14-16.
The Congress is an honors-only program for high school students who want to become physicians or go into medical research. Moleen was nominated by Dr. Connie Mariano, the medical director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists.
During the three-day Congress, Moleen will join top students from across the country to hear and learn from Nobel Laureates and National Medical of Science winners.
She will be advised from Ivy League and top medical school deans on what to expect in medical school.
Moleen dreams of opening a free or low cost clinic to help the people in need in her community.
