DeKalb County police are investigating a shooting outside a Chamblee night club.
Witnesses told Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach there was an album release party at the Velvet Room Sunday night, attended by music industry VIPs like Rick Ross and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Gehlbach said several cars in the parking lot had bullet holes and there were shell casings on the ground.
DeKalb County police told Gehlbach an officer was involved in the shooting, but was not injured.
Police said the DJ at the club was exchanging gunfire behind the club around 4 a.m. when he was shot in the leg by a DeKalb County officer who was working at the club in an off-duty capacity. The DJ was taken to the hospital. The officers were not injured.
