Outstanding warrant leads to two arrests

Tosha Nicole Dean, 27, was arrested and charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and Toni Lynn Dean, 26, was arrested on outstanding probation warrants in the area of Smyrna Church Road and U.S. Highway 82. Brantley County Sheriff’s Office deputies learned the whereabouts of Toni Dean and, when the vehicle the two were in was located, Tosha Dean was found to have a small amount of marijuana in her possession.

In other sheriff’s office activity:

Deputies responded to the area of the 900 block of Roberson Hammock Road in reference to Criminal Trespass/Burglary. The complainant stated some unknown person(s) had entered their residence and had taken a large amount of coins and cash they had been saving.

Deputies responded to the area of the 11200 block of Trudie Road in reference to Lost or Mislaid Property. The complainant stated they had lost or misplaced the title to their vehicle.

Justin Matthew Strickland (20) was arrested and charged with DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane on Hwy #520 near Petty Crossing Road. Deputies observed Strickland weaving in his lane of traffic and when the vehicle was stopped it was found that Strickland was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Deputies responded to the area of Friendship Drive in reference to a Vehicle Fire. The complainant stated the vehicle had not been running right and had asked a friend to drive it home for him and it caught fire a short time later.

Deputies responded to the area of the 100 block of J Henry Lane in reference to Burglary Second Degree and Criminal Trespass. The complainant stated someone had entered their outbuilding and had moved things around and had several assorted tools missing.

Deputies responded to the area of the 7000 block of Central Avenue in reference to Theft by Taking (motor vehicle), Burglary Second Degree and Criminal Trespass. The complainant stated that some unknown person(s) had taken metal and a motorcycle from the shed behind their residence.

Deputies responded to the Brantley County Sheriff’s Office to meet a complainant in reference to a Theft by Taking in the area of the 1400 block of Hoke Circle. The complainant stated some unknown person(s) had taken tools from the rear of his truck.

Deputies responded to the area of the 14000 block of Hwy #301 north in reference to a Missing Person/Welfare Check on Children. The complainant asked deputies to conduct a welfare check on his adult sister and her children due to the fact that he had not seen them in a while.

Deputies responded to the area of Hwy #110 West approximately 0.8 of a mile north of Drury Lane in reference to Damage to a Vehicle. The complainant’s vehicle was being pulled from the ditch and the tow truck slid down the embankment and struck the complainant’s vehicle causing some damage to the grill area of the vehicle.

Deputies responded to the area of the 200 block of Purdom Road in reference to Damage to as Vehicle. The complainant stated dogs had chased cats under their vehicle and caused damage to wiring and scratches to the paint on the vehicle.

Deputies responded to #7475 Britt Still Road in reference to a Structure Fire. The complainant stated the breaker box had caught on fire and the damage was contained to that area.

Deputies responded to the area of the 300 block of Fred Cooper Road in reference to a Burglary. The complainant stated some unknown person(s) had taken their flat screened television from their residence.

Deputies responded to the area of the 100 block of Otter Road in reference to Theft by Taking. The complainant stated several rings were taken from her residence.

Deputies responded to the area of the 13000 of Hwy #110 West in reference to Financial Transaction Card Fraud. The complainant stated she had found that some unknown person had used their credit card on-line on two separate occasions.

Deputies responded to the area of Middle Road in reference to Burglary/Theft by Taking. The complainant stated some unknown person(s) had entered his residence and had taken several tools, household items and lawn equipment from a shed.

Deputies responded to the area of the 1200 block of Eldridge Road in reference to a Burglary. The complainant stated someone had entered their residence and had left the door open when they left. No items were reported missing at this time.

Deputies responded to the area of Janie Circle in reference to Disorderly Conduct. The complainant stated her brother had hit her in the knee with a broom. Witnesses advised the complainant had come toward the supposed offender moved the broom in a side to side motion to keep the complainant from striking him.

Deputies responded to the area of the 10400 block of Hwy #301 North in reference to Theft by Taking and Financial Transaction Card Fraud. The complainant stated someone had taken their pre-paid debit card and had used the card at Flash Foods.
