The Coastal Georgia Film Alliance is based in Camden County, but its reach is growing.
Alliance members have announced a partnership, including Liberty, McIntosh and Charlton counties, they believe will help attract more movie makers to the region.
“We want to make sure that filmmakers are aware of assets and resources from our entire region,” said Doug Vaught, the alliance chairman. “Camden County and Glynn County are already making their marks with the film industry, and the surrounding counties have much to offer as well.”
Barbara Ryan, the film alliance’s vice chair, said Glynn and Camden counties have already shared projects and the filming last year of two episodes of the TV series “Royal Pains” is an example of what can be accomplished when counties work together.
Ryan said the film alliance recently received a request from a filmmaker for locations for lighthouses, and she gave contact information to Glynn and McIntosh county officials.
