Special to SEGAZINE
Brunswick resident and author Joann Newbern this week celebrates the nationwide release of her new romance novel, “A Place for Me.”
The story introduces readers to Lacy Wise, a journalist whose article is supposed to reveal the truth about this neighborhood’s sustenance—a large factory with a generous owner. But so far, she hasn’t uncovered anything worth reporting. Looking to run straight to the source, Lacy attempts to set up an interview with the factory owner himself. But a chance meeting with a lonesome janitor changes her plans.
Aside from her professional work, her 24th birthday is drawing near, and with it, her hope of seeing her childhood crush. Promising to return by her 24th birthday, this boy hasn’t yet reappeared, and Lacy is losing hope. With her 24th birthday approaching and the only boy she ever loved gone, Lacy faces a choice—should she pursue a solution to this mystery of the present-day “Robin Hood,” or should she take another chance on love?
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
