Jones to Glynn BOE: Go back to drawing board

The Board of Education meeting room held a capacity crowd for the second of the three public hearings scheduled on the 2013-2014 school system millage rate increase.
Public speakers were cordial but frank with their opinions and ideas about how to fix the 2013-14 budget, which has been adopted and shows a deficit of $6.8 million.
Jeff Jones, current chairman of the Glynn County Republican Party, asked the board not to approve the proposed one mil property tax increase.

“Go back to the drawing board and cut the budget,” Jones said.
