Georgia convenience store chain Friendly Express Inc. teamed up with OpenStore by GasBuddy to introduce several digital programs to its customers, including a branded mobile application (app). The app features in-store promotions, updated gas prices, locations, loyalty point balances and more.
Customers can also send feedback from their mobile phones and receive electronic mobile coupons.
“We are excited about partnering with GasBuddy and its OpenStore platform to better communicate with our customers,” said Danny Smith, CEO of Waycross, Ga.-based Friendly Express. “In today’s society, so many people rely on their smartphones for surfing the web and communicating through social media. This gives us the opportunity to take advantage of these avenues so that our customers are better informed on what we have to offer.”
The debut of the convenience store chain’s first app also coincides with the launch of a refreshed website, a new text messaging program and e-mail marketing, all powered by OpenStore by GasBuddy.
“We help our clients optimize their customer experiences to attain and sustain market leadership,” said Jason Toews, co-founder and CEO of OpenStore by GasBuddy. “OpenStore by GasBuddy is a complete turnkey digital marketing solution that will support Friendly Express’ strategies to reach their customers with targeted promotions and messaging.”
Friendly Express Inc., which traces its roots back to Lewis Oil Co., operates 40 convenience stores and gas stations in southeast Georgia.
OpenStore by GasBuddy is a multichannel digital marketing solution designed to increase customer loyalty. It is a division of OPIS (Oil Price Information Systems).
